A plan has been made to arrest Ali Amin Gandapur and others involved in the May 9 violence.

The police and a joint investigation team (JIT) have made a plan to arrest key figures, including successful election candidates Mian Aslam Iqbal, Ali Amin Gandapur, and Imtiaz Sheikh.

These individuals are wanted for their alleged involvement in the violent events on May 9, 2023.

According to JIT officials, they have devised a comprehensive strategy to locate and arrest the fugitives who secured seats in the 2024 general elections. Using advanced techniques like geofencing, mobile tracking, and IP address tracing, law enforcement agencies are actively following leads to find the suspects.

The court has officially labeled Mian Aslam Iqbal, Imtiaz Sheikh, and Ali Amin Gandapur as proclaimed offenders, strengthening efforts to hold them accountable for their alleged roles in the May 9 incidents. JIT authorities emphasize that the upcoming arrests will be carried out following the law, ensuring due process.

The JIT revealed that the accused were frequently in touch with their supporters and campaign workers during the election period and result announcements. This ongoing communication has provided investigators with valuable insights into the activities and locations of the suspects, aiding the implementation of the arrest strategy.

As the investigation continues, authorities are committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that those responsible for the May 9 incidents face justice. The collaborative efforts between law enforcement and JIT officials underscore the government’s determination to address electoral misconduct and maintain public order.
