Fazlur Rehman claims that General Bajwa has overthrown the government led by the PTI.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), made a claim on Thursday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government was toppled by the former army chief, Gen (rtd) Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During the Samaa TV programme ‘Nadeem Malik Live’, Rehman urged someone to stand up against the establishment and denounce their wrongful actions.

He added that the protest would go on until the situation is resolved, as politics should not be influenced by the establishment. Rehman maintained that the ongoing protest would eventually lead to a revolution.

Rehman recently commented on the current political situation. He expressed respect for state institutions, but questioned why some of them were involved in politics. He also suggested that if the elections were truly transparent, then the narrative surrounding the May 9 mayhem should be put to rest.

Rehman also mentioned a past incident where the PPP was moving a no-confidence motion against the PTI founder. He claimed that during this time, Gen Bajwa and Faiz Hameed were in contact with them, and even asked all parties to bring the vote of no-confidence motion.

When it comes to talks with the PTI, Rehman believes that there are differences of opinion that can be resolved. However, he believes that the present parliament has no future, as decisions and policies will be influenced from elsewhere.

Finally, Rehman mentioned that the PML-N has announced plans to take the government with 66 seats in order to save the country.
