Journalist Imran Riaz Khan has been arrested under mysterious circumstances, leaving his family and the public unaware of the reasons behind it.
Imran Riaz Khan’s brother, Usman Riaz, shared the news on social media, expressing concern and seeking transparency in the matter.
Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency’s Cybercrime Wing had summoned YouTubers Imran Riaz Khan and Asad Toor for their alleged involvement in an anti-judiciary campaign on social media.
Both individuals have been served with formal notices to appear before the FIA, with Imran Riaz called to the Lahore office and Asad Toor to the Islamabad headquarters.
The FIA’s action is in response to activities considered harmful to the judiciary’s integrity and independence.
The arrest follows the alleged involvement of a person, Abdul Wasay, in a social media campaign against Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, involving direct threats and character assassination on social media platforms.
