On Monday, the Islamabad High Court told the authorities at Adiala Jail to let the defense lawyer of the PTI founder have a private meeting with him, following the jail rules.
Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan handled the case filed by the PTI founder, who wanted privacy during meetings with lawyers.
The PTI founder’s lawyer, Shere Afzal Marwat, argued that according to jail regulations, having two people present during meetings with the PTI founder was not allowed.
He also mentioned that the jail administration rejected meetings with newly elected PTI members and political assistants.
The lawyer asked the court to instruct the jail administration to allow the PTI founder to meet his political assistants and ensure privacy during lawyer consultations. As a result, the court told the jail administration to follow the jail rules and let the lawyers meet the PTI founder privately.
