The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the timetable for the presidential election.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced the notice and schedule for the upcoming presidential election, set to occur on March 9.

According to the ECP, candidates vying for the country’s top constitutional office can submit their nomination papers by noon on March 2 to presiding officers in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta.

The notification, issued by the Constitution, outlines the program for receiving nomination papers, scrutinizing them, withdrawing candidature, publishing the list of validly nominated candidates, retirement, and the polling day.

The scrutiny of nomination papers by returning officers is scheduled for March 4, and candidates can withdraw their candidature the following day. The commission will publish the list of validly nominated candidates on the same day, and March 6 is set as the retirement date.

The presidential polling is scheduled for March 9 at the National Assembly and all provincial assemblies, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
