With a beautiful soprano voice, she aspired to be an opera singer and adopted the professional name Juli Lynne.
Before her fashion fame, Charlot had a singing career and even performed with the Marx Brothers during World War II. She married four times, including a marriage to a British viscount. After her marriage, she became a stay-at-home viscountess, but her life took an unexpected turn when she created the iconic Poodle Skirt.
