A court has canceled the previous decision that labeled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur as an absconder in a liquor case.
The session judge, Shahrukh Arjumand, made this ruling after hearing a plea filed by Gandapur’s lawyer, Raja Zahoor ul Hasan. The court also granted an exemption to CM Ali Amin Gandapur from appearing in court due to his official commitments.
The judge directed the submission of surety bonds worth Rs 50,000 and a local guarantor. The case has been adjourned until March 14 and sent back to the trial court. Earlier, Gandapur was declared an absconder for not appearing in court despite non-bailable arrest warrants related to unlicensed weapons and liquor possession.
Gandapur is the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after winning the election with 90 votes in the 106-member house.
