Demonstrators are demanding the safe return of a Hindu girl who has been abducted.

In Dera Murad Jamali, a significant protest erupted in response to the abduction of Priya Kumari, a young Hindu girl.

The demonstration encompassed members of the local Hindu community and business owners. Concerns were voiced regarding Ms. Kumari’s recent disappearance from her Sukkur residence just a few days prior.

Wielding placards and chanting slogans, the protestors expressed outrage over the recurring abductions of innocent children within Sindh. They vehemently criticized the perceived inefficacy of the government in ensuring public safety, particularly for religious minorities like the Hindu community, who felt increasingly vulnerable.

The protest was spearheaded by esteemed Hindu leaders, Mukhi Manak Lal and Seth Tara Chand. Participants included a diverse range of individuals, encompassing a representative from the business sector, a youth activist, a prominent market leader, and religious figures.

A unified demand was delivered, urging both the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Sindh to take immediate and decisive action. Their primary objectives were the safe return of Ms. Kumari and the implementation of more robust security measures to safeguard minority communities. The protestors issued a stern warning, threatening nationwide demonstrations if their demands were not met with a demonstrably effective response.
