The Foreign Office of Pakistan criticized the comments made by the Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, calling them “hyper-nationalistic sentiments” aimed at gaining votes.
Singh had stated that India would enter Pakistan to eliminate anyone involved in terrorist activities.
Singh’s remarks came after a report by The Guardian revealed that India had conducted operations in Pakistan to target terrorists. This report followed accusations from Canada and the United States against India for similar actions on their soil.
In response, Pakistan’s Foreign Office expressed concern, stating that India’s rhetoric fueled nationalist sentiments and hindered regional peace efforts. Pakistan emphasized its commitment to peace but warned against misinterpreting its desire for peace as a weakness. The Foreign Office also highlighted evidence of India’s involvement in extrajudicial killings on Pakistani soil.
