The foreign minister of Saudi Arabia had a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s office, where PM Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the Saudi delegation led by Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

During the visit, the Saudi foreign minister is also scheduled to meet with the apex committee of SIFC to finalize investment projects. The Saudi delegation, which includes various ministers and senior officials, is on a two-day visit to Pakistan and will also meet with the army chief.

The purpose of the visit is to advance the understanding reached between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman, during their recent meeting in Makkah. This understanding aims to enhance bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries.

Pakistan hopes to attract significant investment from Saudi Arabia through its initiative under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which aims to remove obstacles hindering foreign investment. During PM Shehbaz’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia, both leaders agreed to expedite the first wave of a planned $5 billion investment package for Pakistan.
