Basketball star Blake Griffin just announced he’s retiring from the NBA.

Basketball player Blake Griffin, a good one (six-time All-Star!), said he’s retiring from the NBA on Tuesday.

He posted a message on social media thanking his fans and everyone who helped him along the way. He said basketball has been great to him and wouldn’t change anything. He ended the message with a joke, saying he’s excited for the next chapter, but he’s done playing.

Griffin last played for the Boston Celtics. He spent most of his career with the LA Clippers but also played for the Detroit Pistons and Brooklyn Nets.

Overall, he played in a lot of games (765!) and averaged 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.
