In 1996, Asad Qaiser joined the newly formed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and emerged as one of its founding members from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). He quickly rose to prominence, becoming the district president of PTI in the same year.
