Police in Islamabad Launch Digital License Management System

Certainly! Islamabad police have introduced a new system known as the Digital License Management System (DLMS) to streamline the handling of traffic violations. This technological initiative consolidates information on individuals suspected of traffic offenses and those who have not paid their fines through the e-challan system. The Safe City Command and Control Center, responsible for monitoring traffic activities, collaborated with Police Khidmat Center and traffic offices to implement the DLMS effectively.

With this system in place, the police have identified and compiled a list of 145 traffic violators. Out of this list, 82 individuals visited traffic offices to settle a total of 995 e-challans, while the remaining 63 faced the suspension of their licenses due to non-compliance. The DLMS aims to ensure that individuals promptly pay fines for traffic violations, enhancing accountability and encouraging adherence to traffic rules.

The system utilizes advanced technology, including Brief Cam alerts and cameras from Safe City, to track the vehicles of e-challan violators. This helps enforce compliance with traffic regulations and ensures that individuals adhere to legal requirements. To check if they have any pending fines, citizens can conveniently visit the official Islamabad Capital Police website or use a provided link, entering their vehicle registration number for verification.

For the convenience of the public, violators can make fine payments through platforms like the Jazz Cash mobile app or the JS Bank wallet. The police emphasize that failure to comply with fine payments will result in strict legal actions against the violators. The overarching goal of implementing DLMS is to prioritize peace, security, and the protection of lives and property for the residents of Islamabad.
