Pakistan’s Supreme Court ordered the removal of barriers outside the Rangers’ headquarters in Karachi.

Pakistan’s highest court, the Supreme Court, recently made a big decision about blocking public spaces in Karachi.

The Chief Justice, Qazi Faez Isa, got very serious about fences and other barriers that have been put up around government buildings, private buildings, and even the headquarters of the Rangers, a special security force.

The judge pointed out that blocking roads with these barriers is actually against the law. He said it’s not okay for anyone to make it difficult for people to get around the city. Interestingly, he even criticized the government itself for putting up these barriers in the first place! He believes this is stopping people from moving freely.

Because of this, the judge ordered a big change. He told everyone responsible to remove these barriers within three days! This includes the Rangers, who will have to take down the barriers around their headquarters. The judge even went a step further. He said the cost of removing all these barriers should be charged to the government officials who were responsible for putting them up in the first place! Finally, the judge demanded a report from the authorities to make sure everything was cleared out.
