Trains with beds, called sleeper trains, are becoming popular again in Europe! Airlines used to be cheaper, but now people want trains back.
This year, Europe is adding at least 6 new sleeper train routes, like one from Brussels to Prague. A private company will run this new train to make money, but it’s difficult because trains with beds hold fewer people than seats.
An expert says there’s always been interest in sleeper trains, but there just aren’t enough train cars with beds, and fitting more beds on the train is tricky.
Another expert says train companies haven’t invested in sleeper trains for a long time.
Some people worry that sleeper trains won’t be a huge success because it’s a small market (not many people use them), and airplanes are still popular with tourists.
Even though people want greener travel options, it might take a while before sleeper trains become super popular again in Europe.
