The price of gold in Pakistan dipped a bit on Wednesday, May 1st, following a similar trend in gold prices around the world.
This means it cost a little less to buy gold in Pakistan that day.
For the purest kind of gold, 24 karat, the price went down by 500 rupees, settling at a new price of 243,900 rupees.
For people who prefer to buy smaller amounts, 10 grams of gold also became cheaper by 429 rupees, with the new price being 209,105 rupees.
The reason behind this price drop in Pakistan is that the price of gold also went down internationally. Globally, gold prices fell by $7 per ounce, closing the day at $2,283.
