The chicken cost in Lahore is cheaper on low demand. It went down by Rs39 per kg.

Chicken is a popular choice for cooking because it can be used in many different dishes.

However, recently, the price of chicken has gone down significantly in Lahore and other cities in Punjab because not many people are buying it.

On Monday, the price of chicken in Lahore dropped by 39 rupees per kilogram, bringing the new price down to 416 rupees per kilogram. People who sell chicken (poultry dealers) believe this drop is because not enough people are buying it, and they expect the price to go down even further in the coming days.

Just last week, chicken was selling for 455 rupees per kilogram. The association that represents chicken sellers says the price has dropped by 259 rupees per kilogram over the last three weeks! This is a big change from Ramadan this year, when chicken prices were very high, even over 600 rupees per kilogram.

The leader of Punjab (the Chief Minister) was concerned that people selling chicken were taking advantage of customers, so she promised to take action against them. She also put in place stricter rules for chicken farmers and sellers, such as requiring them to provide information about how much chicken they have in stock. This was done to try to understand why the price of chicken had suddenly gone up so much.
