PTI leaders have been granted bail in the cases related to the events of May 9.

Senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including Shibli Faraz, Raja Basharat, Zartaj Gul, Zain Qureshi, and others, have been granted bail in connection with the violent riots that occurred on May 9.

During Wednesday’s court proceedings presided over by ATC judge Malik Ijaz Asif, more than 500 individuals accused in the May 9 cases were present. The court granted bail to 25 accused individuals, including the PTI leaders mentioned.

KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s request for exemption from appearing in court was approved, but the court instructed him to attend the next hearing at Adiala Jail. The hearing was adjourned until May 29.

Several PTI leaders are facing multiple cases related to the May 9 riots, which stemmed from political tensions and disputes following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
