The Islamabad High Court has allowed Imran Khan to be released on bail in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted bail to PTI founder Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case, where he was accused of involvement in a £190 million corruption scandal.

Imran Khan was allowed bail upon submission of one million rupees surety bonds.

A division bench of the IHC, consisting of Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangir, presided over the proceedings and issued the verdict to release Imran Khan from Adiala Jail.

In a separate development, the Islamabad District and Sessions Court acquitted Imran Khan in two cases related to vandalism incidents during the PTI Long March. The court granted the acquittal due to insufficient evidence.

These cases stemmed from incidents in 2022 when charges were filed against Imran Khan at Khanna police station.

Earlier this week, the Islamabad High Court had reserved its decision on Imran Khan’s bail plea in another £190 million corruption case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
