Pakistan is branching out into the world of super expensive fruit by growing a special type of mango called “Miyazaki” for the first time.
This mango is a real head-turner, with a price tag to match – costing between $800 and $900 per kilogram! It’s a valuable new addition to Pakistan’s already famous mangoes like Chaunsa and Sindhri.
These Miyazaki mangoes look quite different too, ditching the usual yellow for a striking red and purple color. On top of the unique looks, they’re said to have a delicious taste.
Farmers are currently trying to grow more of them, and if successful, it could be a game-changer for Pakistan’s agriculture industry.
