Famous Brahvi poet Mir Ulfat dies.

Mir Mohammad Ulfat, a respected poet and writer who worked in both Brahvi and Urdu languages, passed away on Saturday.

His family reported that he had been unwell for a while and was receiving treatment at a Quetta hospital.

Many people gathered to honor him at his funeral, including poets, authors, and journalists. He was laid to rest in a nearby cemetery.

Mir Ulfat’s career began in radio broadcasting with Radio Pakistan. Later, in 1974, he joined Pakistan Television’s Quetta Center as a broadcaster.

He was also known for his storytelling, and in 2010, he received a Presidential Award for his books about Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, written in the Brahvi language.

The Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, expressed his sadness over Mr. Ulfat’s passing and praised him for his efforts in promoting local languages. The CM stated that Mir Ulfat’s contributions to Brahvi and other languages will be remembered and that his absence will be deeply felt.
