Islamabad court clears Imran Khan and PTI leaders in long march cases.

On Monday, a district and sessions court in Islamabad acquitted PTI founder Imran Khan and other leaders in two cases related to vandalism during the long march.

Other acquitted leaders include Zartaj Gul, Ali Nawaz Awan, Faisal Javed, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Qasim Suri, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Shireen Mazari, Saifullah Niazi, Asad Umar, and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad. The charges were filed at the Kohsar and Karachi Company police stations for violating Section 144.

Earlier this month, the Islamabad High Court granted Imran Khan bail in a separate £190 million case. Chief Justice Amir Farooq required Khan to deposit surety bonds worth Rs1 million.

In February, an accountability court indicted Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in the same case, which they denied. The National Accountability Bureau had filed a corruption reference against them and six others last year.
