Train rides in Pakistan become cheaper.

Train travel in Pakistan is about to get cheaper!

The train company, Pakistan Railways, is cutting ticket prices in response to a recent drop in the cost of diesel fuel. This is good news for people who are finding it expensive to buy everyday things (inflation).

The price cuts apply to all travel distances, from short trips to longer journeys. Economy class fares will see the biggest reduction, going down as much as 54%! Fares for AC (air-conditioned) seating will also be cheaper, with a decrease of 40%.

For instance, a train ride from Lahore to Rawalpindi will now cost much less. The cheapest economy class ticket on this route has been cut in half, from Rs 250 to Rs 100. So if you’ve been thinking about traveling by train in Pakistan, now’s a great time to do it!
