Pervez Khattak claims that he refused to accept the “bat” sign.

On Monday, Pervez Khattak, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Parliamentarians, shared that he declined to adopt the bat symbol for his political journey.

Speaking in Peshawar, Khattak expressed his commitment to continue fighting for the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that changing political parties is a democratic process, and he will champion the cause of the province.

Asserting that it’s not unusual to switch parties, Khattak mentioned that many supporters might join them as independent candidates if they win elections.

Despite facing criticism for leaving PTI, the former KP chief minister highlighted the democratic nature of such decisions.

In another statement on Saturday, Khattak emphasized that despite PTI-Parliamentarians being relatively new, they are prepared to participate in the upcoming elections.

He welcomed the Supreme Court’s verdict, stating that it had put an end to rumors regarding the election schedule. Encouraging those who claim an uneven playing field to contest the elections, Khattak expressed readiness for the political journey ahead.
