At a UN meeting about protecting civilians during wars, Pakistan spoke up about human rights abuses in places occupied by other countries.
The Pakistani representative, Munir Akram, mentioned serious issues like the one in Palestine, which an international court called a “possible genocide.”
He said these situations are a stain on the world’s conscience and something the people responsible should never forget.
Akram also highlighted the ongoing suffering of civilians in Gaza, detailing a long list of terrible events.
