A court in Islamabad ordered that the PTI’s main office must be reopened.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued a ruling on Tuesday directing the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to immediately de-seal the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Central Secretariat in Islamabad.

Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz delivered the reserved verdict, finding fault with the CDA’s procedures. The court noted that the CDA issued notices to the property’s previous owner but failed to demonstrate that PTI, the current occupant, received any prior warnings or the actual sealing order.

This decision comes after PTI petitioned the IHC on May 24th seeking the reopening of their Central Secretariat, which the CDA had sealed due to alleged violations of building regulations. PTI strongly contested the closure, arguing they were not afforded due process.

The IHC’s ruling represents a significant development for PTI, following another favorable verdict earlier in the week.
