Good news for retirees!
The government won’t tax pensions in the upcoming budget for the year 2024-2025.
This decision came after talks between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) about taxes. Originally, the Pakistani tax agency planned to tax pensions, but the Finance Minister convinced the IMF not to do that.
Discussions about taxes with the IMF are ongoing, but for now, retirees can relax – their pensions won’t be taxed.
