The court directed the Assistant Attorney General to submit a report within one week.
During the hearing, the court asked about the cases against Zartaj Gul and learned that she had been granted bail in both cases.
Justice Tariq Mahmood noted that terrorists’ names are not on the ECL, but assembly members’ names are being added. The court questioned why Zartaj Gul’s name was included in the ECL for minor and bailable cases.
The court warned that those who wrongly added her name to the ECL could be summoned.
Earlier, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted interim bail to PTI leader Zartaj Gul in a case of vandalism and riots at Gujranwala Cantt on May 9. The judge granted her bail until April 18 and directed her to cooperate with investigators, based on her written promise to appear in future hearings.
