Pakistani social media star Jannat Mirza has become the most followed celebrity online, surpassing actress Hania Aamir, after her TikTok followers reached 25 million.
Mirza’s fame started on TikTok, and now she is the leading social media celebrity in Pakistan. Her 25 million followers on TikTok is a record for any Pakistani celebrity on any social platform.
The 26-year-old, who has also appeared in a Lollywood movie, shared this achievement on Instagram with a screenshot of her TikTok profile, writing, “We just hit 25 million followers! Woah […] it’s a big milestone for me.”
She thanked her followers for their support. Besides TikTok, Mirza has over 5 million followers on Instagram.
Hania Aamir, another popular Pakistani celebrity on TikTok, has 2.4 million followers. Aamir recently surpassed Ayeza Khan to become the most followed Pakistani celebrity on Instagram with 1.42 million followers.
Mirza’s rising popularity shows how social media personalities can become more famous than traditional stars.
