Contempt case: Faisal Vawda gives an unconditional apology to the Supreme Court.

Senator Faisal Vawda apologized unconditionally to the Supreme Court for contempt, leaving himself at the court’s mercy.

This apology follows a show-cause notice issued after Vawda criticized Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges during a press conference, urging people to stop targeting institutions without evidence. Vawda referred to a complaint letter from six IHC judges about interference from executive members and intelligence operatives in judicial affairs.

Vawda’s apology came after consulting religious scholars, leading him to realize the importance of respecting the judiciary for it to function effectively.
