Earlier this year, the Punjab government updated the fees for driving licenses across the province after 20 years.
From July 2024, the fee for learner driving licenses remains Rs 500, the same as before.
For motorcycle licenses, previously valid for five years at Rs 550, the new fee structure will charge Rs 500 annually.
Car and Jeep driving licenses, previously Rs 950 for five years, now cost Rs 1,800 per year starting January 2024.
These changes are aimed at improving revenue collection and administration for better transport sector management in Punjab.
