YouTube’s new eraser tool removes copyrighted music from videos without affecting other audio.

YouTube has introduced an updated tool for creators that lets them easily remove copyrighted music from their videos.

This tool called the Erase Song tool, uses AI technology to detect and delete copyrighted songs while keeping other audio like dialogue and sound effects untouched.

The company tested the tool and improved its accuracy in identifying and removing copyrighted music. However, YouTube warns that in some cases, the tool may not completely remove the copyrighted song.

If that happens, creators can try muting all sound in the segments with copyrighted material or trimming those segments out. Once edited successfully, YouTube removes the copyright claim from the video.
