The Election Commission of Pakistan changing records related to elections raises questions.

The Election Commission of Pakistan recently changed the results for 41 constituencies in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by updating documents on its Google Drive.

These documents, known as Form 45s, are important records that show details about each polling station’s votes. This has led to concerns about how transparent the election process is, especially when there are disputes about election results being reviewed by tribunals.

The Election Commission claimed that some earlier reports about missing documents were wrong, but independent checks showed otherwise.

There were updates made to fix missing documents for constituencies in Lahore and other places.

The Election Commission explained these changes as accidental mistakes and assured that the original documents were already with candidates and election tribunals.
