ISLAMABAD – In a significant move, the Pakistani government has announced a boycott of Israeli products after reaching an agreement with Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP). The TLP had been actively protesting to show solidarity with Palestinian Muslims, leading to a productive dialogue with government officials.
The negotiations involved key figures such as Rana Sanaullah, Advisor on Political Affairs, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and senior leaders from TLP. The discussions concluded with a mutual agreement to intensify support for Palestinians.
At a press conference following the talks, Rana Sanaullah shared that TLP’s protests were driven by their concern over the suffering of Palestinian Muslims. Hafiz Saad Rizvi, a prominent TLP leader, had urged the government to provide aid to Palestinians and to denounce Israel’s actions. The government has pledged to continue supporting the Palestinian cause without pause.
Rana Sanaullah also revealed that TLP would be collaborating on these efforts, including the planned shipment of aid to Palestine by July 31. This shipment will carry over a thousand tons of food and essential supplies to Gaza.
He strongly condemned recent Israeli attacks on Gaza, labeling Israel as a terrorist state responsible for war crimes against innocent Palestinians. Rana Sanaullah called for global accountability and urged the international community to hold Israel accountable.
Highlighting the need for collective action, he emphasized that the Muslim Ummah and the global community must work together to end the suffering in Palestine. Pakistan’s decision to boycott Israeli products is a step in this direction, with a committee set up to oversee the implementation. Rana Sanaullah praised TLP for their unwavering support and solidarity with Palestinians.
