LAHORE: Stage actor Tahir Anjum was assaulted by a female Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker outside the Punjab Assembly. The incident occurred as Anjum was passing through a PTI hunger strike camp.
The PTI activist, identified as Aneela Jutt, also known as “Neeli Pari,” attacked Anjum, ripping his sleeve while trying to drag him out of his vehicle. Aneela accused Anjum of posting derogatory videos about PTI founder Imran Khan, calling him a “terrorist.”
Videos of the incident circulated on social media, showing Aneela cursing and attacking Anjum, who struggled to stay inside his car. Despite intervention from police and bystanders, Aneela refused to back down.
Anjum eventually managed to escape. He later expressed his anger to journalists, condemning the PTI workers for their violent behavior and noting that his children were also in the car. He denied posting any videos against Imran Khan or doing anything illegal.
The attack took place outside the Punjab Assembly, where PTI is holding a hunger strike to demand the release of arrested party leaders.
