Plane Bound for India Makes Emergency Landing in Pakistan: Here’s What Happened

Emergency Landing in Pakistan

KARACHI: An Oman Airlines flight en route to India had to make an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Thursday after a passenger experienced a medical emergency.

The flight, which departed from Muscat and was destined for Kerala, was diverted when a passenger suffered a heart attack mid-air. The pilot immediately requested and received permission from air traffic control to land in Karachi.

Upon landing, the passenger was quickly transferred to a nearby hospital by a waiting medical team, ensuring they received prompt medical attention.

It’s worth noting that international aviation protocols allow for emergency landings on humanitarian grounds, even if the countries involved have strained relations. This principle ensures the safety and well-being of passengers, regardless of geopolitical tensions.
