RAWALPINDI: The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, along with the Service Chiefs and the Pakistan Armed Forces, reaffirmed their strong support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on August 5.

In a special message, the Pakistan Armed Forces expressed their backing for the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for self-determination. They criticized Indian security forces for violating international law, including the harsh military lockdown, attempts to change the region’s demographic makeup, and persistent human rights abuses.

These actions, combined with India’s aggressive rhetoric, contribute to the ongoing security and humanitarian crises in IIOJK, threatening regional stability. Lasting peace can only be achieved by resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with United Nations resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

The armed forces also honored the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Kashmiri people’s struggle against oppression on political, moral, and humanitarian grounds.
