MIAN CHANNU – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz honored javelin throw world champion Arshad Nadeem with a personal visit to his village in Mian Channu, where she presented him with a Rs100 million cash prize and a car.
CM Maryam Nawaz made the special trip via helicopter, followed by a motorcade to personally congratulate Arshad Nadeem and his family on his historic achievement. Arshad recently became the world champion in javelin throw, a victory that has brought immense pride to Pakistan, especially after the nation’s 40-year wait for an Olympic medal.
After presenting the gifts, Maryam Nawaz returned to Lahore, concluding her visit. Both federal and provincial governments have announced various rewards to celebrate Nadeem’s remarkable performance.
