Pakistan Honors Quaid-e-Azam on 76th Anniversary of His Passing

Today marks the 76th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Pakistan’s founding father. The nation observes the day with solemnity, reaffirming their commitment to his principles of “unity, faith, and discipline.”

The day began with special prayers at mosques and other places of worship, seeking peace for Jinnah and prosperity for the country. Jinnah, who led the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan’s creation on August 14, 1947, passed away on this day in 1948.

Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television are airing special programs to honor Jinnah’s pivotal role in Pakistan’s freedom.

A Quran Khawani was held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi this morning, with special prayers for the country’s development, security, and unity. Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, along with the provincial cabinet, visited Mazar-e-Quaid, laid floral wreaths, and offered fateha.

They expressed their determination to follow Jinnah’s vision and stressed the importance of unity among all stakeholders to achieve national development and stability.
