TikTok has released its Q2 2024 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, revealing that more than 30.7 million videos were removed from its platform in Pakistan for violating community guidelines.
The report highlights TikTok’s proactive approach to maintaining a safe online environment. Notably, 99.5% of the videos were removed before users reported them, and 97% were taken down within 24 hours. This showcases TikTok’s dedication to quickly addressing harmful content and keeping the platform safe for its users.
Globally, TikTok removed over 178 million videos in the same period, with 144 million of them taken down automatically using advanced content detection technology. This system helps ensure harmful content is addressed in real time, making the platform safer and more secure for everyone.
TikTok also reported a 50% reduction in the number of videos restored after being removed, reflecting the effectiveness of its content moderation tools.
