Aleema and Uzma Khan Granted Bail in D-Chowk Protest Case

Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, sisters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, were granted post-arrest bail on Friday in the D-Chowk protest case. The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Abual Hasnaat Zulqarnain approved their bail against surety bonds of Rs20,000 each after hearing arguments from both sides.

Earlier, on October 6, Islamabad police arrested several PTI supporters, including Imran Khan’s sisters, as they gathered at D-Chowk for a protest.

In related news, Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan’s wife, was recently released on bail from Adiala Jail. She had been detained for nine months in the Toshakhana-II case. The Islamabad High Court granted her bail on Wednesday, allowing her release after she posted Rs1 million in surety bonds. Bushra Bibi had initially been sentenced to 14 years in prison in the Toshakhana case earlier this year.
