KARACHI: TikTok has partnered with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to launch the #DigitalHifazat Contest, aimed at raising awareness about digital safety among the youth in Pakistan.
The contest invites TikTok creators to make short videos focused on six important topics: responsible social media use, combating online harassment, preventing online fraud, ensuring youth safety, understanding TikTok’s safety features, and tackling misinformation.
By participating in the #DigitalHifazat Contest, users can help promote the message of digital safety and encourage others to verify information before sharing it. TikTok is committed to providing a safe space for its users by ensuring all content follows its Community Guidelines and addresses issues like online harassment and misinformation.
Creators can join the contest by posting videos with the hashtag #DigitalHifazat and tagging @ptaofficialpk. Submissions must be made through a form available on the contest’s official hashtag page on TikTok, which is accessible in both English and Urdu.
Winning videos will be chosen based on quality, relevance, and adherence to TikTok’s guidelines. The winner will receive an Apple iPad Air, and two runners-up will each get a Samsung smartphone. The contest is open to participants aged 13 and older.
This collaboration between TikTok and PTA highlights a shared goal of enhancing digital literacy and safety in Pakistan, providing a platform for young people to share their insights on important digital issues.
