The strength of a passport is like a superpower, determining how many countries its holders can visit without needing a visa.

Recently, the ‘Passport Index’ released new rankings, shedding light on which passports offer the most freedom in terms of visa-free entries. Let’s take a closer look at what these rankings reveal about the power of passports.

At the top of the list is the United Arab Emirates (UAE), whose passport holds the title of the strongest. Those fortunate enough to have a UAE passport can travel to 130 countries without the hassle of obtaining a visa. It’s like having a golden ticket to explore the world freely.

Germany secures the second spot, along with Spain, France, Netherlands, and Italy, all sharing a mobility score of 178. This means passport holders from these countries can travel to 134 countries without any visa requirements. The Netherlands, though, adds a little extra, offering visa-free entry to 134 countries.

The third spot goes to Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria, and Switzerland, with a mobility score of 177. These countries provide their citizens with significant travel freedom, showcasing the strength of their passports.

Further down the list, the United States claims the sixth rank, with a mobility score of 174. American passport holders can explore a multitude of destinations without facing extensive visa hurdles.

Turning our attention to Asia, India secures the 66th spot, with a mobility score of 77. This means Indian citizens can travel to 26 countries without a visa, and 51 countries offer them visas on arrival.

Meanwhile, Iran is ranked 85th, with a mobility score of 57, allowing its citizens to visit only 15 countries without needing a visa.
