A big ship lost power, sent a distress call, and then crashed into a bridge in Baltimore, making it fall.

A cargo ship called Dali lost all power right after leaving Baltimore port. The ship was supposed to go to Sri Lanka on a 27-day journey.

Suddenly, everything went dark – the lights and the engine. The crew tried everything they could to fix the problem, but nothing worked.

An alarm started ringing, and the crew on board tried their best to steer the ship away from the bridge. They also dropped anchor to stop the ship from moving forward. Luckily, an emergency generator started working, but the engine was still broken.

The people on board realized they were going to crash into the bridge and called for help. Authorities heard the call and were able to stop cars from driving on the bridge just before the crash.

Unfortunately, the big ship hit a bridge column hard. The bridge couldn’t take the hit and collapsed into the water. Sadly, a crew of 6 people who were working on the bridge are missing and presumed dead. The rescue effort was difficult because of the cold weather.

The cause of the power loss is still unknown. Experts are investigating the ship’s data recorder to find out what happened.

People who live near the bridge woke up to a shocking scene. They could see a huge ship stuck between the pieces of the broken bridge.

This accident will not only affect the families of the missing workers but also the economy. The port of Baltimore is one of the busiest ports on the East Coast, and now it will be difficult to bring ships in and out.

The President has promised to help Baltimore rebuild the bridge and get the port back to business. It will take a long time to recover from this disaster.
