A group from Saudi Arabia has arrived in Karachi to complete the ‘Road to Makkah’ project.

A group of 12 important people from Saudi Arabia has come to Karachi Airport to discuss speeding up the immigration process for Hajj pilgrims in Karachi instead of Jeddah.

The Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs and the Director of Hajj (Karachi) happily welcomed the delegation working on the ‘Road to Makkah’ Project at Karachi Airport.

The Saudi authorities will check if Karachi Airport can be included in the project. They will review how the immigration process for Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj works at Karachi Airport.

As part of the ‘Road to Makkah’ project, Saudi authorities will inspect the immigration process for pilgrims.

The Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Saeed Al-Malki, shared that even pilgrims under the private Hajj scheme would be part of the ‘Road-to-Makkah’ project. He promised full cooperation with private Hajj companies during a talk with the caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed.

The ambassador mentioned that high-ranking Saudi officials will visit Pakistan in the last week of February to finalize the ‘Road to Makkah’ project at Karachi Airport.

During a meeting at the Saudi embassy, the minister and the Saudi ambassador discussed finalizing arrangements for Hajj 2024 and expanding the ‘Road-to-Makkah’ project.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Pakistan Hajj Mission are in constant contact with Saudi authorities to make sure everything is ready for Hajj on time.

The minister shared that, following Saudi instructions, people applying for the private Hajj scheme now have extra facilities.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has set up a total of 146 companies to organize Hajj, and their details are available at the ministry. The booking process for private Hajj pilgrims has already begun.
