A problem with the gas line in Balochistan is causing a shortage of gas supply in Quetta.

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has made an announcement regarding a temporary suspension of gas supply in specific areas of Quetta. This interruption is planned for one day and is necessary to carry out essential maintenance work.

A spokesperson from SSGC explained that there is a gas pipeline near Dhadhar Road in Quetta, which has a diameter of 12 inches and has encountered minor damage. To address this issue, it is crucial to perform maintenance work, which requires a brief halt in the gas supply. The dedicated repair team has promptly reached the site, and the repair process is expected to take a few hours. Once the maintenance is successfully completed, the gas supply will resume to ensure that residents have access to this essential resource.

The spokesperson emphasized that this interruption should not be confused with regular power outages or load shedding. SSGC is making concerted efforts to minimize the impact on domestic consumers and assures the public that they are working diligently to maintain a continuous and reliable gas supply.
