A video showing a senior police officer serving tea to politicians has become very popular.

A video of a high-ranking police officer, called a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), serving tea to politicians at an event has been spreading quickly online since Sunday.

This caused a stir, and the police chief in that area, Inspector General Ghulam Nabi Memon, took action against the SSP. He said it was inappropriate for the officer to serve tea and that the SSP needed to explain himself in writing.

The video shows the police officer handing out tea to the politicians, who were seated formally like at a ceremony. One of the politicians seen in the video was Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani, who is part of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). It’s not clear exactly where this event took place.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Just a few days ago, another video went viral showing a different SSP, Mirpurkhas Asad Chaudhry, serving tea to guests at a PPP event.
