A widely-shared photo of Imran Khan from Adiala Jail is circulating online.

Supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are eagerly watching the proceedings of the Supreme Court as their leader, Imran Khan, appears via video link from Adiala Jail.

Khan, who is 71 years old, has been in custody since his arrest in a corruption case. The photo circulating online, showing Khan in a sky blue outfit seated in a chair, is the first glimpse many have had of him from the high-security prison.

The Supreme Court is currently hearing an intra-court appeal challenging its earlier decision regarding amendments to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) laws. Imran Khan, a central figure in this case, is being represented by senior counsel Khawaja Haris, who has been assisting the court.

During the hearing, the court also asked about the status of a related petition against the NAB amendments in the Islamabad High Court, which is still pending.

Special arrangements were made in Courtroom No. 1 for Imran Khan’s video appearance, with restricted access due to the importance of the case. In a previous hearing, Khan expressed his desire to present his case personally, and the court granted him permission to do so via video link. The larger bench of the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, is overseeing these proceedings.
