According to a Gallup poll, 63% of PTI supporters say they would be reluctant to cast a ballot if Imran Khan decides not to run for office.

In a survey done in July, it was found that 63% of the people who usually vote for PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) would not vote for the party if Imran Khan, the leader of PTI, is not in charge. The survey asked people if they would vote for PTI in an election even if Imran Khan is not the leader, and most said they wouldn’t. This situation became important because Imran Khan was no longer the leader due to legal issues. The survey showed a strong connection between PTI voters and Imran Khan’s leadership.

Imran Khan was convicted in a case called Toshakhana, which led to him not being able to participate in the upcoming elections on February 8, 2024. PTI has the option to appeal to the Supreme Court, but the limited time before the elections makes it challenging.

Barrister Gohar Khan, who is the Chairman of PTI, expressed concerns about the short time left to get a positive decision from the Supreme Court for Imran Khan. PTI believes that Imran Khan can still participate in the elections, but legal experts have different opinions.

Imran Khan’s legal troubles involve allegations of misusing his position as prime minister to sell state gifts during official visits abroad. The recent survey and legal challenges have put PTI and Imran Khan in a challenging situation as they navigate through the complex world of Pakistani politics.
