According to the BJP, Shah Rukh Khan assisted in the release of Indians from Qatar.

BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has made a sensational revelation, stating that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan played a crucial role in securing the release of eight Indians who were facing death sentences in Qatar.

According to Swamy, when top officials of the Indian foreign ministry and the National Security Advisor failed to convince Qatar to release former Indian Navy officials, it was Shah Rukh Khan who successfully negotiated their safe release.

Swamy suggested that Prime Minister Modi should involve Shah Rukh Khan in diplomatic efforts, as the actor was able to intervene and secure an expensive settlement from the Qatari authorities to free the Indian Naval officers.

Swamy shared his remarks on a platform called X, formerly known as Twitter, responding to a post by Prime Minister Narendra Modi about his upcoming visits to the UAE and Qatar to strengthen bilateral relations.

Modi tweeted about his plans to visit the UAE and Qatar for various programs, expressing excitement about deepening India’s friendships with these nations. Swamy’s claim about Shah Rukh Khan’s involvement sparked widespread reactions on the internet, with many expressing gratitude to the Bollywood star for his alleged role in the release of the Indian nationals in Qatar.
